Ryan ford
senior pastor
I was born and raised in the small West Texas town of Denver City. I was not raised in the church as a kid but I came to know Christ after a girl in my class invited me to her youth group. It was here that I learned about Jesus and came to know how much God loved me. I gave my life to Christ and knew that I wanted to serve him and enter into full time ministry. After high school I married my beautiful wife, Amy, and we entered into ministry together. I started ministry as a youth pastor at this very church in 2006 and I loved my time here as youth pastor. I served in Snyder for several years and our youth group blossomed. It was here that we had our first child, Addison, and just before our second child, Katherine, was born we chose to move closer to home and to begin ministry in Andrews, Texas. After 6 years in ministry I experience burn out and left ministry to do something else. I moved back to Denver City to work in the oilfield with my dad and help put my wife through school. It was here that I slowly started volunteering in my home church and it was here that God called me to start a contemporary service on Saturday nights. We came together with people of the community to fellowship, serve, and glorify God. Our group grew quickly and again God placed the calling of ministry on my heart. I was appointed as Senior Pastor in Seymour, Texas in 2014 and God poured out his blessings on our ministry and in our relationships with the people of that church. Here in Seymour we entered into the foster care system as foster parents and God blessed us with two more children, Dacy and Nolan. We met so many incredible people while serving in this church and we miss them all dearly but we are excited to be back in Snyder where our ministry started so many years ago. As a leader I desire to serve the people of the church and the community of Snyder. I believe that we called to Love God, Love Others, and Serve Others in all we do and I hope to bring that mission to light within this community. God is doing incredible things within this church and I look forward to serving alongside them!
